How Would Your Donation Be Used?
Your donation would assist us in bringing performing artists to our community. Funds may be allocated to capital expenditures, such as our multi-purpose space expansion, if you wish. Ensure the patrons of our region have a quality performing arts venue!
Our Sources of Revenue
In order to meet our annual operating budget our organization relies on four sources of revenue:
Ticket Sales and Rental Fees
City of Lloydminster Annual Subsidy
Various Grant Revenue
Donations and Sponsorships
This Year's Fundraising Goal
Our fundraising goal for this year for corporate and individual donations is $80,000. In addition to this fundraising target, we will host a special fundraising project to raise another $23,000.
Vic Juba Community Theatre provides a facility through partnerships, sponsorships, and rentals that showcases events for our community.
The operation of Vic Juba Community Theatre is managed by a non-profit organization that is incorporated as a Society in the province of Alberta. The Board of Directors is charged with the task of management and operation of the venue. The staff at our facility consists of 4 permanent full-time, 2 permanent part-time, 9 permanent event based employees, and 2 contract staff members. Our team of 70+ volunteers work over 2,350 hours each year to assist at our events with the running of the coat check, bar and concession, artist merchandise sales, and working as ushers.
- We host 175+ event days for rental clients each year on the "Ulmer Chev Stage".
- Vic Juba Community Theatre presents 8 to 12 events each season within our "Dr. H. A. McDonald Season".
- Annual attendance at our facility is typically over 49,000.
One story that shows the impact of our organization is that of a young man who as a youth danced on our stage and then as a teen went on to help organize competition in the local Ukrainian Dance Festival held at our venue. Today he is a teacher in our community and now watches his students perform on our stage. Our impact in our community is truly full circle.

A Story We Love to Share
A mother brought in her sick six year-old son to Emergency at the Lloydminster Hospital. As is normal in a very busy department, the wait was fairly lengthy. Patience had run out for the young boy so he turned to his mother and said "can we go home now?" "Not until you have seen the Doctor" she replied. This answer was not good enough for the boy -- "but Mom", he insisted "we have to go now because our Christmas concert is tonight and we are going to be on the stage at the Big Juba." We love this story!
To establish partnerships and find donors that will enable us to present diverse programming to enhance the cultural experience for our community.
