As a busy regional performing arts facility serving more than 51,500+ patrons annually, Vic Juba Community Theatre continues to invest in maintaining and improving the spaces that support live entertainment, community gatherings, education and cultural experiences in Lloydminster.
From audience seating and backstage improvements to major infrastructure projects and accessibility enhancements, these fundraising initiatives help ensure the theatre remains a welcoming, professional and sustainable venue for years to come. We invite individuals, businesses, and community partners to support these important projects through donations or sponsorship opportunities. Backstage Improvements
Timeline: Ongoing
We’re fundraising to improve our backstage spaces by upgrading dressing rooms, replacing worn costume racks and chairs, and addressing the everyday wear and tear that comes with a busy performance facility. Support will also help fund important maintenance projects throughout the backstage corridor including painting, flooring repairs, and washroom improvements to ensure artists and crews have a safe and welcoming environment behind the scenes.
Audience Chamber Carpet & Loading Dock Flooring
Timeline: Replacement slotted for July 2026
The flooring replacement project includes the loading dock, audience chamber, and light lock carpet areas. After years of heavy use the current flooring has reached end-of-life condition. This project will replace aging materials with updated industrial-rated flooring designed to improve durability, safety, accessibility, appearance and long-term sustainability.
Roof & Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Replacement
Timeline: Replacement slotted for July 2028 (pending matching grant funds)
A major roof and HVAC renewal project is critical to the future sustainability of the theatre. These essential building systems are now past the end of their useful life cycle, and without replacement, the risk of building deterioration and operational disruption continues to grow. Replacing the aging systems will improve comfort, safety, air quality, energy efficiency, and year-round reliability while helping ensure the theatre can continue serving residents through arts, education and community events each year.
Audience Chamber Seating Replacement
Timeline: Replacement slotted for 2030 (pending matching grant funds)
Our audience chambers seats have welcomed hundreds of thousands of patrons over the years — from standing ovations and school performances to concerts, comedy shows, dance recitals and community celebrations. Through our seat replacement fundraising campaign, we’re working to renew and modernize the audience experience with new seating that improves comfort, accessibility, appearance, add cup holders and ensure long-term durability for the next generation of audiences.
